How historically develop this Buddhist thought. So when we talk about Buddhist thought we have to pay attention in early Buddhism. So why those Buddhist thought arose in early Buddhism? In early Buddhism we have the Buddha teaching, Different kind; namely Ethical teaching, social, Doctrine, Economic, and political teaching. But really all those Buddhist thought arose only on doctrinal of the teaching Buddha. What include in the philosophy or the doctrinal teaching? on which the Buddha represented his doctrine? what are the doctrinal teaching? the mainly the Buddha represented his doctrine regarded the nature of the man. so therefore the Buddhist doctrinal teaching including, the Buddha reached about the man , beings. in brief the Buddha doctrine contained the nature of the man. so this the nature of the man, he explained in the teaching of paticcasamuppada. actually how the beings come to existence? There were the philosophers or thinkers known as the Upanishadic before the Buddha. They also wanted to discuss about the nature of the man. so why the Buddha wanted to find out the nature the man? Because of the beings are subjected to many type of sufferings. Those are the questions many philosophers try to find out reply or solution. so in that respect the upanishadic philosophers presented every being has two part. Mainly they are the body and the soul. The body is subjected changed and the soul is never changing, or permanent, everlasting or eternal or exist forever. so before the Buddha, Upanishadic phiolosophers or thinkers, they also explained the nature of beings two part in the beings. sarira=body and Atma=soul. the body is subject to change and the soul is exist forever or unchanged. so they are represented concept of rebirth. So the permanent soul without changing goes to another body. That is rebirth according to them. The concept of rebirth is known as punarjjamma or punrutpathi=birth again or rebirth.
